1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Decent, if not Overwhelmingly Awesome Addition to Medieval Fiction By JD If you are into medieval fiction, then you could do worse than this book. I found it reasonably well researched with regard to weapons, armor, battle and tourney tactics- all of which are appropriate for the period the book is written in.Some of the characters are rather flat and one-dimensional, and at times the dialogue seems nonsensical but truth be told, I think the author did a good job of copying the speech patterns of that time. Overall the book is a decent one, well worth an afternoon in your favorite arm chair with a glass of whiskey to hand.The cover image looks awful but the book behind it is better, don't let that dissuade you from buying this book.
