About the Author Vickie Musni, Certified Personality Trainer and former teacher, has teamed up with her brother, Kevin Burrill, to create Personalities for Educators. Between them they have over 30 years of experience working with students between pre-K and young adult in both traditional classroom settings, as well as other learning environments. Kevin has been a middle school teacher in Sacramento for 10 years and has a Masters degree in curriculum and education. Vujovich This book, Personalities for Educators, is a relevant and powerful work that supports teachers, staff and administrators in a practical manner. It is one thing to "know thy self" but to come to an understanding that people may be different in their needs - social-emotionally, psychologically and physically - than our self. As an educational leader and practitioner it is a continual renewal of our core values/expectations to be better, smarter and stronger. I know that it took me a long time to realize and understand "my color" as teacher, coach, mentor, leader... This book makes it simple! Personalities for Educators, reminds us to not only "know thy self" but also "know AND understand" others in the educational setting as well - students, parents, community, colleagues and bosses. I have been that "boss" that went right after a teacher without seeking to understand or acknowledging his/her many accomplishments or extra-duties because there are rules to the vision like Kevin's principal as described in the book. This easy to read book helped me to understand in a colorful way how to identify my own personality and recognize personality traits of others. Working in healthcare I interact on a daily basis with a variety of personalities. I will be able to use many of the points shared in Personalities for Educators to communicate more effectively. This book will also help me to better serve in my role as School Board President of my local school district. I have a clearer understanding of why and how administrators, principals, students and parents respond to situations and will be better equipped to interact with them. This book offers great concepts and easy to apply conversation techniques for anyone who wants to learn how to relate better with others in any circumstances.

Paterson A quick, entertaining, and insightful read, I found that I kept coming back to the ideas after I had already put the book down. I work with four different classrooms of students, for only a couple hours each week. It is important that I be able to make a successful connection with students quickly. Personalities for Educators gave me the tools to do that, and also to engage different personalities in a way that is most meaningful for them. I also specifically appreciated considering how my personality effects the way students and other adults interact with and respond to me. This book is an informative tool for anyone who works with students.
