I really liked it By Galit Balli Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.ReviewPlot/Story:The author had created wonderfully a new paranormal race, that resembles vampires but with a twist. This is a very action packed and thrilling story full of drama, danger and mystery. Even though the story here is about vampires like creatures, this is no ordinary vampire story and you will not see here the elements of a regular vampire we all know too well from movies and books. Here they are more powerful and more unique.Characters:The characters are well written and are so likable, that you will be hooked fast to their story and adventures. The characters bring the story to a new level, as if you are one of them. The character’s point of view changed but in a very compelling way that makes the story even more beautiful. Veronica is such a wonderful and strong character; she is by far my favorite.Romance/Kills:There are some sex scenes, but for me I didn’t see any point to them as the story could perfectly do without.Writing:The author writes very charmingly, her details are so vivid and brings her world and characters into life so perfectly, that you can easily see the characters and their life. The world building, the characters and the story itself is well thought off and masterfully written.Beginning:At first I didn’t get into the story as fast as I thought I would, but it changed fast. The world at first is hard to grasps, but if you don’t think too much about it and accept the rules of the creatures, the reading will be must faster. After the first few chapters, I was deep into the story and I was hooked completely. From there on it was a fast pace read.Ending:The end is a bit off for me, there were so many things I wanted to know more and didn’t get the answers. I need answers! I think it’s because there is (or might be) another book to this series and I hate waiting for the second book to come out, lol. I hope there will be more books ((crossing fingers)).Blurb:The blurb was just right. After reading it, I wanted to know more and more about this world and about Deamhans. It was not too reviling, just the way I like it and really told the story in a vague way. Letting you know just enough so you’ll want to know more.Cover Art:The cover art is just so gorgeous, stunning.Other StuffOpening Line: Veronica Austin stood in line behind a tall woman with long black hair, her blonde roots clearly visible in the streetlight brightening the corner.Highlights: I love the story the author weaved and the characters really had made the read a great one.Lowlights: There were a lot of questions unanswered, but I hope to get more answers in the second book.Memorable Quotes:“Remy tilted his head to sniff the air. “I love that smell.” He turned his head to look over his shoulder. “The smell of fear.”“Don’t confuse my act of kindness to be in your favor.”“Loved? A Deamhan couldn’t love? Impossible. Isaiyan Morrison is one such author, who unlike Stephanie Meyer, have not crafted a traditional romantic tale of the so-called vampires, instead, she enlightened us, the readers, with another creature who are similar to vampires, but whose demeanour and lifestyle is more unique and scarier than those vampires, in her new book, Deamhan (Deamhan Chronicles #1).A huge thanks to the author, Isaiyan Morrison, for giving me this opportunity to read and review her unique and incredible book.Deamhan series is about a group of psychic vampires who remain hidden under the "dark" of the night bonded together in their secret and dangerous organizations in a world which is full of lies, fear and evil. And a young girl named, Veronica Austin, embarks upon a journey to uncover the truth regarding her mother. And on her quest to truth, she stumbles upon this ferocious creature called, Deamhan, who unlike the vampires, has an air of deep, dark evilness among them.Veronica is one of the strongest heroines that I've stumbled upon after a very long time. Veronica is fearless, stubborn and dauntless and doesn't need a second somebody to help her unravel the secrets behind her mother's disappearance. I loved how the author has portrayed Deamhan with logic and has made us believe about their race.The book is mind-blowingly awesome and it has got some adrenaline-rushing actions which are power-packed and keep you on your edges till the very end. Unlike those cheesy romantic vampire tales, this book has got a powerful storyline and an interesting and remarkable set of characters which are enough to take you on a roller-coaster ride of suspense and thrill.With exquisite and eloquent words, the author has turned this tale into something very captivating and intriguing.The vampires lovers will find another new love and get totally gripped by the author's scary and dangerous imaginary world which is filled with Deamhan and vampires.

By Karlee Lawrence Veronica's mother disappeared years ago but her father refuses to tell her anything about what happened. When Veronica decides to leave San Diego to go to Minnesota to find out the truth, will she discover more than what she can handle? The are four different types of Deamhan's that live on our earth and they all feed in different ways. When a human is claimed by a Deamhan, that human in theory is untouchable. Veronica learns that someone has claimed her, why did the Deamhan claim her and can this Deamhan be trusted? Being born by Researchers, Veronica knows a decent amount about Deamhan's but she's putting her own life at risk the more she digs up information. Who can she trust? Deamhan's are known to be liars but are there some that truly can be trusted? Find out when you read this book! Can't wait to read the next one!
