0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great new series!!! By Kindlegirl I loved this book. I cannot wait for the next installment. I found the characters to be vivid and engaging and I fell in love with them all. The plot is steady and never lags. I have to admit, at first I was intimidated by some of the Old English words scattered throughout, but within three chapters I was reading them without a glitch. The author provides a glossary for definitions and pronunciations, but I found I picked it upon on my own very well. The battle scenes are done exceptionally well and there are some spicy sex scenes throughout. If you are fan of historical fiction or a fan of Vikings, you will like this series. S. Sonntag is great writer and I am looking forward to reading more from the Sutton Hoo sagas.

The love stories and battles had me enthralled and turning page after page. I was going through the book faster than I thought I would. It is easy to follow the storyline. I was so excited to have the glossary of words to help me out as I read along. I was actually really excited that I wasn't struggling as much as I thought I would. I can't wait for the next books to come. I am telling everyone that I know they HAVE to read this book.
