The book has the latest information about WebSocket and identifies the pain points of integration. There was a section on security that was really helpful that I'm forwarding to my IT guy- and made it very clear to identify what was coming across the wire, which was really helpful.

By DB Flash Great in-depth book on WebSocketThis book is well written and contains a number of examples which always help me integrate a new technology faster. It isn't just about the basics of WebSocket but goes into detail about security aspects to take into account, how to get over the hurdles present in older browsers, and how to integrate a protocol and layer it on top of the WebSocket protocol.Best thing about the book is I can give him the chapter on security and make sure they can properly watch out for the attack vectors explained in the book. Highly recommended book if you're looking to migrate your old long polling and move to WebSocket.

By Petit Jean Guillaume I learned a lot, this book was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed.A lot of examples which are easy to understand (I even used some of them right away!)I especially liked the section on security and the chapter on STOMP.I am definitely gonna recommend it to some colleagues !
