2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Couldn't put it down!! By Paly I do not usually find that sequels are ever as good as the first part of the story, but that is not the case here. Book 2 was just as thrilling as book 1, and both books are very different to other stories in this genre. Having said that however, it did get a little more complicated here with the He.'s (view spoiler), than in book 1; more fragments to follow, making it harder to get my head around. However no matter how many parts to Gillian, she was still great! Very vulnerable and strong, almost in equal measure, she deserves a break that’s for sure. Simon, Miles give her a break, LOL...Simon and Miles; both evil but one with more redeeming qualities than the other, and one with few boundaries when it comes to physically harming the one he purports to love. Simon is definitely a super-hot H., and Miles is just as hot but the Anti H. here. It’s great to get two for one, as it were. There was ‘more’ of Miles here but mostly a physical presence. I would have loved to have read more of what makes him tick; more about his past relationship with Gillian (and her Mother); what/where he expected their relationship to ‘go’ as it were; more intimacy between the two would have been great! We know they got married but it is just mentioned almost as an aside; much more could have been done around this event.The writing is much ‘looser’ this time around, or maybe more ‘comfortable’ would describe it better; it was 'lighter' somehow, less 'dark' than bk.1. The author is getting into her stride with part 2, more confident with her characters, and which way the story is headed. Once I started to read it, I could not put it down till I’d finished it. I liked the ending; never saw that coming but again a missed opportunity to 'explore' it, in greater detail. Miles and Simon certainly deserved that at least. I don’t see a 3rd book here unless it is the ‘exploration’ to which I refer, and hope the author does not go there; it’s a good place to leave it IMO. Any more will spoil what are two great reads.Wonder where the author is going to go in her wonderful, and dark mind, for her next novel?? ;-)
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Brilliant, Suspenseful, Amazing, and Disturbing By SUSIE Okay some words that come to mind Brilliant, Suspenseful, Amazing, and Disturbing. I can not praise this author enough! Willow is very very talented. I am a fan and look forward to reading other books by Willow. I can not believe the progression from the first few chapters of BK 1 till the end of BK 2. And as I said in BK 1 review I rarely find a read that I am not skipping through paragraphs and pages due to boredom, predictability,and over descriptive unnecessary page filling fluff. This story is well thought out, totally different than any other story I have read in the dark genre, and I got to know, understand, and love all characters on stage....Amazing. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an original plot in the new era of dark reads!I want to get into details BUT I don't want to give anything away so I can say is this is a book worth the read!

I started book 1 yesterday and there was no way I could leave myself hanging without reading book 2. In fact I was not even aware that book 2 was available so I knew I would be disappointed to have to wait. But it was there and I'm glad to write the 1st review. This was an awesome read. This was dark, gritty, hot, disturbing, suspenseful, and a pure pleasure to read. As I write this I have a smirk on my face as I recall the details, the characters, the good, the bad and the ugly. All of it was wrapped into one of the best reads for me of 2015. I don't ever give away details so please read this so you can get to the end of the story and I promise you will not be disappointed. This was truly one of the best dark reads with the best disturbing but oh so "sweet!!!" "HEA" ever.
