By Ashley Tomlinson This is the third installment of The Breadwinner series and wow was it a great one! This is one of the few series that didn't falter with each book, I usually start to dislike books the more in the series I get. Thankfully not with this series, it was freaking awesome!I swear this is liking reading a Walking Dead episode or season. The first book was more about surviving the zombies and it's been less and less about the undead with each book. This one was more about trying to escape the meth addicts than the undead. Again, that's every zombie filled series. Unless the zombies find a way to evolve like in Resident Evil. Yes I watch and read a lot about zombies - a girl needs to prepare herself just in case, right?I wanted to punch Michelle in the face with a chair! That was one crazy evil girl that deserved what happened to her. She killed people without a care in the world, even enjoyed it. I was very, VERY upset at some of the deaths in this book. I think Stevie Kopas just knew how much these characters meant to me, so she snatched them away - that's an author for ya.Veronica is a tough chick and I can only hope I would be that strong. I would be fine with a fraction of her courage to be honest. I'm glad Kopas made her such a strong character, especially considering she was the youngest. Normally, they would be the weak ones that cry in a corner until they run away screaming and get themselves killed.I actually liked the ending! I was upset so many of my beloved characters didn't make it but I'm happy with how it all turned out. I especially loved the epilogue - teehee you'll have to read it to find out why. I thought this was a good way to end the trilogy. Though I wouldn't be upset to read more about Veronica and Clyde ... hint hint Stevie Kopas.I flew through all of these books in a matter of hours. They were so good that I really didn't want to put them down - I'm glad I started reading them on a Saturday so I life didn't interrupt my reading. I highly recommend this whole series for all the zombie lovers out there.

By Frank Errington eview copyIt's often said that the third time's the charm. The old adage has never been truer than in the final book in The Breadwinner Trilogy. When I read book 1, The Breadwinner, a few months ago, I was not overly complimentary. Things improved with book 2 Haven, and here we are, at the end of the series, with All Good Things. This was one of the best zombie books I've read in recent memory. Elevating my overall opinion of the series to the point where this is what you really should be reading to get over your zombie withdrawal while The Walking Dead is on hiatus.All Good Things begins with the death of a principal character, an event that actually occurred at the end of book 2, but the fallout intensifies here. One of the things I really like about The Breadwinner Trilogy is that, although there are zombies and plenty of gore, it's really about the complex relationships of our little group of survivors. "...the small group locked away in Emerald City had found some sort of solace in one another. They'd found some remnant of normalcy in the things they did together to fill their time. No matter how insignificant it all seemed, there were plenty of reasons they gave one another to keep living."In All Good Things I found the characters to be more fully developed, displaying real feelings and raw emotions. I also realized they had more to fear from each other than from the "eaters" as the author refers to her undead.I'm happy to say there are several OMG moments in this book as Kopas does not hold back at all. No spoilers, but I can say the reader should expect the unexpected in this very satisfying conclusion to The Breadwinner Trilolgy.All Good Things is available now as an ebook from Permuted Press, through Amazon.com, and will be in paperback soon.Strongly recommended. Get the entire series and spend some quality time with the undead.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. The characters are fallible and believable all the way to the end! By Reader's Hollow Kopas upped the intensity in this one. There's more action, drama, but with (a few of) the same awesome characters. Just like the previous books, you can never predict who will make it and who won't. The second the reader thinks they might know what will happen next, the author likes to side-swipe them.I won't spoiler this for you but there's a certain character who has gotten away with far too much for far too long and it was satisfying to see how that person was served justice. In this new world order there aren't laws to abide by and how people deal with revenge is far more brutal -- and interesting.The zombie action scenes were well done. They were fast, easy to read scenes that moved along at the same quick pace as the rest of the story.I really liked the epilogue, which occurred after the Acknowledgements. It was like that special preview at the end of a movie after the credits.CONCLUSION:I can sit back satisfied with how everything turned out. Is it an ideal future for all of the characters? Not so much but I think that was the story's appeal to me, the unpredictability. The characters are individuals, which I really like when an author can pull that off. None fell flat for me and they each made mistakes being both believable and fallible.
