Death is no obstacle to love By lovetoread The first in a three part trilogy, 'The Promise' starts us off with the story of Ben Milburn, a young man whose love for his girlfriend Samantha knows no bounds, not even death can come between them. The reader follows Ben as he transcends through time to journey back to Samantha, battling the harsh realities of life in an ancient world where violence and survival go hand in hand. It is obvious that the author has gone to great lengths in his research of the Nomadic tribes that Ben encounters, and his intelligent descriptions of the lands Ben wanders conjure up such vivid images that you can easily picture the highs and lows of his adventure.This is a wonderfully unique love story, written with passion and gusto. I very much look forward to reading the next instalment!
