0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. advice from a genius By othoniaboys Alexander Bain (1818-1903) was a Scottish genius who started out as a weaver and ended up as a university professor and as the founder of the science of psychology, among other things too numerous to mention. This is a long, thorough book dealing with his theories of education. He was perhaps too much a man of his times to avoid insisting upon reading the ancient authors in the original Latin and Greek. One must in any case stand in awe of him.
