About the Author
Kristine Kelley is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been a practicing surgeon for thirty years. Married with two grown sons, she enjoys exploring general history and medical-history books when she’s not busy with surgical patients or keeping up with her home life.
Dreams at Sea is the first in a series of four novels that sends Isabelle on various literary adventures in the early 1800s.

Moreover, Kristine Kelley's knowledge of life and work on sailing vessels of the period is phenomenal. As a result, the reader is easily transported into the world of the protagonist and joins her in adventures on the sea off the coast of South America. This "Frigate"-like book takes the invited reader on a journey "Lands away" from the stress of everyday life. Emily Dickinson would love it!

Enjoyed the characters, enjoyed the plot development and the idea of the plot. Dr. Kelley let the reader know there are other books to be read (soon I hope) with her characters.
