Every child has their own way of learning, which is why I have chosen to home school my child. My son is 14 years old and I have been using this Grammar Workbook to compliment his studies. What I love about this workbook is:- The lessons build up on one another making the learning process smooth and fluid- The lessons are easy for my son to comprehend and the information is retained at a higher rate than just reading alone.- The lessons are have pertinent information for a child his age and breaks down the concepts in a way that makes learning a breeze.The topics that are covered in this workbook explain and expand on:- Sentence structure- Parts of Speech- Verbs and Verbs Tensesand much, much more. My son has made significant progress in a short span of time and I am so looking forward to what lies ahead in his scholastic journey. I highly recommend this workbook to any parent/teacher, or guardian that wants to take their child's learning to a new and more educated level.

Great tool for middle school/junior high grammar By Rachel Horon This workbook is very handy for grammar lessons for middle school/junior high students. I got it for my 13-year old who can use a little extra help with language arts. It is "An intro to advanced grammar", so it can be used as a teaching or reteaching tool. He likes it because it is short; there are no more than 10 problems per exercise per lesson. I like how it is easy to use and complements what he is doing in the classroom. I also like that it helps me understand the terms and fundamentals that I have forgotten from my school years.

I have used many textbooks, workbooks, methods and so forth for my various learners. At first glance, this book is a no frills, black and white, workbook. However, if you stop there you will miss out on a great learning tool. What this book offers is a simple and effective teaching tool for helping students understand parts of speech. No more drill and kill, no boring paragraphs that go on and on making it tedious and boring for the student and impossible for the parent-teacher. Straight to the point, simple, effective, with just enough practice to make the topic concrete but without taking enormous amounts of time.I have 3 boys who are reluctant writers and are not particularly fond of anything Language Arts related. This book keeps it streamlined and to the point with no fluff, something we really appreciate. It is not short on content though. Your child will receive a thorough education in Grammar with this easy to use, scripted workbook...with no tears!I was given a free copy of this workbook in exchange for my honest review. I believe that an honest review is the only review to leave no matter what one is reviewing....free or otherwise. I waited on my review until my students and I had a chance to fully go through this book and comparing it to others we have used in both scope and sequence and overall content. I truly like this book and if I hadn't received it, I would have purchased it. I have, from a few years ago, a much more expensive book that we have used and quite honestly, this is a much better book for a fraction of the cost. This book will be the one we use from here on out. Save yourself from having to buy more than one by having children write their answers in a notebook. Excellent book, HIGHLY recommend for homeschoolers or those with students in school who are struggling with Grammar.
