I loved it By Moxxley @Platypire Reviews The Reapers (The Hunted: Book 1) by Ali Winters is one of those books that I could not put down once I started reading. I was given a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.The story of reapers has always fascinated me. I have always wondered what they thought of the humans that they see at their absolute dark moments or in some cases final moments before death takes them. This book answers that to some degree and it humanizes the reapers.I really enjoyed the characters especially Nivian and Kain. They have so much chemistry and I just love them. I found myself relating to Nivian more than the others because she seems so strong and badass. She is a complex character that has so many layers. I cannot wait for the next book in the series because I want to see how everything plays out.I will sing the praises of this book and Ali Winters to all of my bookaholics. I give this 5/5 Platypires.

The author does not insult the intelligence of the reader. The book contains great vocabulary with wonderful context clues. The reader wants to know what will happen next. The twists and turns and romance add drama to this story. The characters are so well rounded for a YA.The plot builds on the bits of revelation Nivian, the main character, finds out about herself and the mysterious man who comes into her life. She jumps to the conclusion that everyone was against her, but she was wrong because she didn’t communicate her feelings. It is a mistake many people make and that makes her believable. The author has made the character’s complex, which makes predicting who those friends are very difficult and kept this reader interested. In the story. the main character feels alone and confused by those around her. Young readers will be able to identify with Nivian’s struggle to discover who her friends really are and how to live her life after it was changed with a chance meeting.This is a five star story. I look forward to reading more in this series and will recommend it to my friends with young readers.
